Bessie's Diner is teaming up with local teachers to inspire a love of reading! Here’s how you can make the most of Bessie's Book Club in your classroom.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Goal: Encourage students to read by offering a free kid's meal at Bessie's Diner after they finish 10 books. Signing up also enters your class into a drawing for a pancake party!

Grade Level: This program is for students in grades 5 and under (12 years old or younger).

HOW IT WORKS:

Distribution: In September, you’ll receive up to 150 bookmarks for your class – send them home or keep them at school! You can pick them up from Bessie's Diner. Each student can earn one free kids’ meal per quarter, up to four kids’ meals per school year.

Student Participation: Students write down the titles of 10 books they read each quarter on the bookmark. 

​

Redemption: Families bring the completed bookmark to Bessie's Diner. When they purchase an adult meal, the student gets a free kid’s meal with their completed bookmark.
